Executive Compensation Lead

Full Time • Fully Remote - US
Our client is a Fortune 500 financial and payments technology company, and leads the industry in innovation, scale and service.
They are now looking to add to the their team and are looking to hire a "Executive Compensation Lead”.

Top Skill Sets
  • Strong Excel skills; must be able to work on proxy.
  • Prior proxy experience required.
  • Presentation-heavy role; strong ability to create and deliver presentations.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and small details; can build solutions from limited information.
  • Ability to translate concepts and ideas into recommendations and present them effectively.
  • Self-starter; able to work autonomously without micromanagement.

Industry Experience
  • Preferred: Payments or finance background; Fortune 500 experience is a plus.
  • Less relevant: Government, higher education, or healthcare experience (does not translate well).

Work Location & Schedule
  • Remote-friendly. Hybrid preferred if candidate is local to Atlanta.
  • Standard shift: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST.

Role Expectations
  • Work independently without direct guidance from executives; ability to act quickly.
  • Heavy Q4 focus:
  1. Proxy preparation.
  2. Executive job pricing.
  3. Special projects.

What Part Will You Play?
  • Coordinate preparation of presentation materials for Compensation Committee meetings, including managing timelines, conducting research, and collaborating with consultants, Legal, and Finance.
  • Lead preparation of the executive compensation section of the annual proxy, including tables, footnotes, and disclosures.
  • Oversee equity compensation administration, partnering with Finance and Accounting on budgets, taxation, and accounting.
  • Track performance and model payouts for short- and long-term incentive plans.
  • Stay current on executive compensation regulations, accounting/tax issues, and industry best practices.
  • Conduct benchmarking, retention assessments, and executive job evaluations to support recruitment and retention.
  • Lead the executive promotion and salary review process.
  • Contribute to the design of incentive programs and review executive presentations prepared by Total Rewards.
  • Participate in executive salary surveys and maintain related policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support executive compensation and Total Rewards leadership.

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Excellent academic credentials (e.g., MBA, law, accounting, or actuarial science degrees)

Experience:
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in executive compensation or related work, inclusive of 2-3 years of managerial experience
  • Excellent Excel and modeling skills are required
  • Excellent analytical skills both in terms of logic of reasoning and analysis of numerical and financial data
  • General program, project, and process management
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are essential
  • Drafting executive-level presentations
  • Self-driven achiever with ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations
  • Ability to build out proposals based on high-level concepts
  • Knowledge of financial statements and business metrics
  • A background in economics, finance, business or accounting is beneficial

This is a remote position.

Compensation: $60.00 - $77.00 per hour
