Business Analyst (Contract) – Advanced Data Analytics

Our client is a leading independent financial advisory firm serving boards, management teams, and shareholders on major strategic decisions. It also provides capital-raising, equity services, and wealth management through a global office network.
Must haves
Must haves
- 5+ years as a Business Analyst on complex cross-functional initiatives in financial services
- Front-office exposure in investment banking, capital markets, private equity, venture capital, or hedge funds
- Experience supporting AI, ML, or data science products
- Strong requirements gathering and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to lead UAT planning, testing coordination, issue triage, and resolution
- Strong communication skills across technical teams, bankers, and senior executives
- Proactive, independent, and solutions-oriented approach in fast-moving environments
- Ability to assess product usability and provide actionable UX feedback
- Familiarity with generative AI tools and practical use cases
Nice to have
- Experience with enterprise data platforms, lakehouses, BI modernization, or data governance
- Familiarity with Databricks or similar cloud data platforms
- Experience with BI/data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik
- Ability to analyze data using SQL or Python
Top responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and translate business needs into clear requirements for AI, ML, and analytics products
- Act as the bridge between technical teams and front-office stakeholders to keep delivery aligned
- Own UAT planning and execution, including test plans, issue triage, and closure
- Manage and maintain the firm's data demand intake pipeline and demand register
- Track and communicate demand status, data readiness, and support governance efforts as needed

Compensation: $60.00 - $90.00 per hour
